RDIS Is church related organization established jointly by the four Dioceses of Anglican Church of Rwanda meant to bring about social and economic development by making use of the limited resources of the poorest communities and households.

In August 2015, the organization was registered by Rwanda Governance Board as a local NGO with clear mission as states “To safeguard environment, increase the production aiming at sustainable and holistic development”.

Currently, the head office of the Organization is located in Makera Cell, Cyeza Sector, Muhanga District, and Southern Province of Rwanda.

Our administrative structure is as follows:

  • The General Assembly made of 26 members, who meet once in a year.
  • Board of directors; elected by the General Assembly meeting (9 members) for a four years term renewable once. They meet quarterly for their ordinary session and whenever need be.
  • An independent auditor committee, comprised of 3 members who meet on quarterly basis and whenever need be.
  • An independent conflicts resolution committee, comprised of 3 members who meet on half year basis and whenever need be.

The key areas of intervention for RDIS organization are: Capacity Building and Development, Hygiene Water and Sanitation, Crops value Chain Development, Environmental Care and Disaster Risk Reduction and last but not the least Saving and Credit for Entrepreneurship and job Creation.

This annual report (April 2020 to March 2021) is intended to provide key partners and founding members of our organization with abridged information about our activities and performances.
This report is intended to provide key partners and founding members of the organization with information concerning the project planned for, projects implemented, the challenges encountered, the manner by which they were dealt with, and the impact in the communities where projects are implemented with and for members in the communities. The training of RDIS staff in India, held from 13th to 27th May 2025 at ADATS-Bagepalli in Kora District, Karnataka, was aimed at building technical capacity for the implementation of a biodigester carbon project in Rwanda. This initiative supports RDIS's strategic objectives to develop staff capacity, reduce global warming, and deliver community-centered sustainable development.
